iZombie: Brainless in Seattle, Part One

Taking a break from their usual (highly enjoyable) formula, Liv and her merry band of crimefighters embark on a rare two part story in “Brainless in Seattle, Part One.” The title is, of course, a play on the romantic movie Sleepless in Seattle, but Brainless works well when Liv comes under the sway of a…

iZombie: Blue Bloody

One of the many things iZombie is great at is keeping me guessing. When I saw the “Blue Bloody” title, I was pretty sure it would have to do with Ravi’s brain serum that turns them blue and gives much longer lasting visions.

iZombie: Are You Ready For Some Zombies?

I had my doubts when iZombie debuted a while back. This was another time I was very happy to be wrong. It’s a really entertaining show that changes their status quo that combines a different spin on zombies, a detective murder of the week, a close group of friends, and some really clever humor.

iZombie: Looking For Mr. Goodbrain, Part 2

IZombie comes to the end of their season with, “Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part 2.” That kind of makes me wonder if next season will open with Part 3, but maybe that’s just me. Things don’t go really well for anyone, and they definitely do a major change in the status quo by the time they’re done. Next season is going to be a completely different show. There will be at least some spoilers below, so be warned.

iZombie: Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part 1

Liv and her friends started this season after all the other hero shows, so it makes sense they’d be wrapping up later. The two part season finale of iZombie, “Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part One,” starts tightening up a lot of the various dangling plot threads that have been lurking around all season and in recent episodes. Things are getting interesting for the zombies of Seattle and their friends.

iZombie: Conspiracy Weary

Usually, iZombie doesn’t pick off where they left off, leaving some space between their cases. That’s not the case with “Conspiracy Weary,” as events with Harley Johns and his band of conspiracy theorists (who actually happen to be more or less right in spite of themselves) rush ahead. Harley and Ravi have a talk which…

iZombie: Return of the Dead Guy

The side-effects from the various brains Liv eats are often entertaining, and sometimes cringe-worthy. This week they kick in strong and get more disruptive than usual. But at least we get to see a cast member I kind of liked come back in “Return of the Dead Guy.”

iZombie: Some Like It Hot Mess

Sometimes I think it might be fun to be around Liv as she goes through her various changes from the brains she’s eaten. Every once in a while, I’m very glad I’m not actually there. This week was one of the second type. The title should be a clue: “Some Like It Hot Mess.”…

iZombie: Spanking the Zombie

Things start off a bit differently this week on iZombie. We see Major on an op with the Fillmore-Graves mercs. There’s a lot of good action, and Major has definitely picked up some new tricks while he’s been working with them. The mission is a success with minimal losses. After all, zombies only go…

iZombie: Wag the Tongue Slowly

While there are several major plots going on in the background, much of the focus on iZombie each episode is the murder of the week. Every once in a while, it’s hard to feel much sympathy for the victim. “Wag The Tongue Slowly” is one of those times. After a brief scene with a…
