This is one of those things I wish I didn’t have to write. Every time I think I see the depths of human stupidity and ignorance, someone starts digging deeper. I largely stay out of controversies that swirl around the internet. This one is just so wrong, and so egregious, I couldn’t.
I know, I shouldn’t invoke the Star Wars Holiday Special for any reason, but you’ve gotta love that Princess Leia song. Anyway, Here’s a few news items, a quick look at our first year of publication and a few hints at what we’re working toward in 2016.
It’s a really interesting experience watching a con grow. I’ve been lucky enough to go to AwesomeConDC for all three years it’s been running so far. DC is a major city that didn’t have a con until recently (relatively), and it’s very nice to see that remedied. In three short years, AwesomeCon has grown quickly and achieved some impressive things.

Avengers: Age of Ultron merchandise seems to be lacking full inclusion of one of their only female members, and that has caused an outcry across the internet, with some calling such actions a disturbing message to our youth… but is it really that big of a deal?
