Legends of Tomorrow: Curse of the Earth Totem

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has been working more towards being an action comedy than the other shows, and they’re doing a good job of it. “The Curse of the Earth Totem” continues that trend with another mash up kind of episode. Last time was Abba and Groundhog Day. Now, it’s a sort of romantic comedy and pirate adventure.

That trend continues in “Welcome to the Jungle,” which lands the team in 1967 Viet Nam, during the war. That was dangerous enough on its own, but you know that if the team goes there, it’s worse than it seems.

I’ll be one of the first to admit that Legends of Tomorrow is an uneven show. They do some weird stuff and have had their share of issues with some episodes. But they are a generally entertaining bunch of lunatics, and when they embrace that, you get a really entertaining episode.
