Now that they’ve gotten the season going, we’re back to the voice-over intros for the Legends of Tomorrow. Sara is doing it this week, and talks about how they broke time. She’s a bit sarcastic, if accurate, and it’s an amusing lead-in for the show.
I read that this season of Supergirl is going to be focused on relationships. That seems to be the case in “Far From The Tree,” which tells the parallel stories of two different father/adult child dynamics.
Continuing their trend, The Gifted opens with a flashback from two years ago. At least it’s not a CGI’d island.
The Inhumans’ first (and possibly only, judging by the ratings) season continues with their over-dramatic titles. This week’s is “Something Inhuman This Way Comes…”
Gotha continues its “A Dark Knight” sub-season with “The Blade’s Path.” Considering how important this knife of Ra’s’ has been, it’s not that hard to figure out what this is going to be about.
Last episode ended with the very public revelation that Oliver Queen is the Green Arrow. Again. What is this, like the third time this has happened? Fourth?
Still not quite done with “What We Did On Our Summer Vacation,” Legends of Tomorrow starts again with another six month flashback. This time it’s Amaya and Nate, being a happy domestic couple and her preparing a special birthday surprise for him. They get some flirting time in the kitchen, but when he runs…
“Mixed Signals” brings back a villain from the period in the comics when Wally West was the Flash.
Supergirl had a rough start with her first episode of the season, “Girl of Steel.” It doesn’t get a lot better for her in “Triggers.”
