Supergirl: Both Sides Now

Supergirl gets to her last episode before another long break in “Both Sides Now.” It starts with a major show of force as the Girl of Steel, the DEO, and Mon-El go to the suburbs to find Purity, the next of the world-killers.

Supergirl: For Good

Do you have any idea what my deductible is?

The Supergirl versus Reign story continues in “For Good,” which seems like an apt title for Supergirl in general. Kara is having strange visions of Reign and her fellow world-killers (such a cheery title) and goes in to the DEO to find no one has really made any progress.

Supergirl: Legion of Super Heroes

Supergirl gets to her second season finale with everything stacked against her. The writers aren’t even trying to be subtle anymore with their political analogies, titling this one, “Nevertheless, She Persisted.” This is a reference to the political controversy last year involving Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Supergirl: Distant Sun

Supergirl: Darkest Places

Falling back on what I really think is becoming an overused trope, Supergirl starts off fighting what appears to be Hank Henshaw. He’s clearly intent on beating the hell out of her, and she’s very confused. Then, of course, we get a different scene and “24 Hours Earlier.” The writers really need to come up with something else for us to open their shows with. This is getting old.
