Daredevil Season Two: Bang

Daredevil returns for season two with “Bang.” If this is anything to judge by, it will be just as good as last time, which is to say great. The opening scene involves a heat wave gripping New York, with all the bad temper that usually brings. This becomes a chase through the streets between several police officers and a gang of masked men. Of course, it’s not long before Daredevil becomes involved and handles the bad guys easily enough. It’s a great action scene showcasing Daredevil’s skills.

Jessica Jones Episode 13: AKA Smile

Jessica Jones’ first season goes out with a bang in “AKA Smile.” Everything comes together beautifully, if a bit tragically, but that seems to be the norm for Miss Jones. There were several surprises that I didn’t see coming, and a few things I hoped for didn’t happen… but I’m getting ahead.

Jessica Jones Episode 12: Take A Bloody Number

The end of Jessica Jones’ first season is almost here. Episode 12 is “AKA Take A Bloody Number,” and shows events building to a head. Several parts of the series that have been separate so far collide in this episode, at times violently. The writers do a great job of balancing the various superpowers with very human reactions.

Jessica Jones Episode 11: AKA I’ve Got The Blues

Jessica Jones starts building towards the finale with episode eleven out of thirteen, “AKA I’ve Got The Blues.” They cut back and forth between the present time and the early days of Jessica being taken in by the Walkers. From the hints we’ve had about Mrs. Walker, it’s no surprise that it wasn’t an idyllic time.

Jessica Jones Episode 10: AKA 1,000 Cuts

“AKA 10,000 Cuts” is the tenth episode of Jessica Jones’ Netflix series, and it is one of the most tension-filled, violent, and hard on the cast shows they’ve done yet. A lot of things go badly here, and very little of it is Jessica’s fault, although I have no doubt she’ll blame herself. That’s what she does.

Team Arrow: Help Wanted

By now, I’m presuming anyone that’s interested saw “Schism,” the season finale of Arrow. If not, be warned, there are spoilers here for that. And some news about season five. So, with that in mind, off we go.

Arrow: Schism

Arrow’s fourth season comes a close with “Schism.” Damian Darhk is on the loose, and he’s even more unhinged in the wake of his wife’s death. This means nothing good for Star City, and, as we find out, the rest of the world. It’s a finale with some weird twists and not so much a cliffhanger as a major status quo change at the end.

Gotham: Transference

Gotham’s second season concludes with “Transference,” the end of the “Wrath of the Villains” arc. For a season finale, there aren’t a lot of surprises, nor is there a big cliffhanger. I almost wonder if when this was written, they weren’t sure they coming back for season three.

Flash: The Race of His Life

The Flash ends Season Two with, “The Race of His Life.” There are a lot of surprises and twists, and they manage to keep curveballs coming right up until the very last scene. I didn’t see the end of this one coming, and a few other things along the way surprised me as well.
