The Legends of Tomorrow are usually a fun bunch with some weird adventures. I’ve heard about some of the changes coming up, and not liked any of them. Well, they’re making me less happy in how they’re getting there, as they make some questionable choices this episode.
The Legends of Tomorrow have been through a lot of changes since the team was first put together by Captain Rip Hunter (remember him?), and more are on the way.
For this episode, they find assorted different problems stemming from them being “Bored On Board Onboard.” We don’t really see any major plot advancement here aside from a few small side scenes, but there’s some weird fun and some “This could only happen to you guys” moments.
Superheroes saving the world isn’t a new thing, but leave it to the Legends to do it in a uniquely odd way. There’s a lot at stake when they get to “The Final Frame.”
The Legends of Tomorrow have been going through more changes than usual lately. Between people coming and going, characters going through assorted changes, and shifting goals for the season, the status quo has been bending a lot. They do more of that, but also go to great lengths to undo at least one change in “This is Gus.”
Now, everyone wants to get back to normal, so they literally revisit the past. Sadly, their usual Western contact doesn’t show up in “Stressed Western.”
The Legends have been through a lot, and their leader, Sara Lance, even more. She had a rough life before she signed on with, and eventually became the leader of, this band of time-traveling misfits.
Things are getting even stranger than usual for the Legends, and that really says something. So far this season, we’ve dealt with Captain Sara Lance being abducted by aliens, the secret origin of Big Belly Burger, an evil painting, and an animated sequence that was like a demented Disney scene, among other things.
Legends of Tomorrow is, without doubt, the strangest of the Arrowverse shows. The team has dealt with all manner of random threats, weird creatures, and bizarre situations. Now things get even stranger as we see what Astra has been up to for the past several episodes that she’s been absent from.
Settling in to their newest quest, the Legends of Tomorrow are trying to find time-lost aliens, keep them from causing trouble, and find leads for their missing leader, Sara Lance. They also have to deal with evolving relationships on the team, Mick’s amazingly bad attitude, even for him, and settling their newest recruit, Spooner, as part of the team.
