Flash: Legacy

The CW/DC Universe finales keep coming with stories that touch on the future and present both. Flash is very concerned with “Legacy,” which would have worked for the title of Arrow as well, but they used it in season five.

Arrow: You Have Saved This City

Arrow is the flagship of the DC/CW Universe, and arguably helped usher in the modern age of hero tv. The finale of season seven has a very busy time, trying to wrap up major plots in the present and future, set up for the big crossover down the road, and almost end the series, since it comes back for a very short run this fall.

Doom Patrol: Pilot

In 1963, a team dubbed “The World’s Strangest Superheroes” made their debut. While the description of a team of people with freakish powers, protecting a world that fears them, led by a brilliant man in a wheelchair might sound familiar, the Doom Patrol actually appeared a few months before Marvel’s X-Men.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

I firmly believe there never comes a point when you don’t have something to learn, but I’ll take the risk of calling myself an expert in this one, narrow area. Here’s one rule I’ve come up with over time that I stand by, seeing proven time and again: when you have a story you’re adapting, and make random changes from the source material that don’t really serve any good purpose, the story suffers. That said, it’s time to talk about X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Supergirl: Red Dawn

Supergirl’s season is almost over, and there’s a lot left to wrap up. This is the second to last episode, and things are getting complicated. There’s a long overdue confrontation, an end to a subplot I haven’t liked for most of the season, and a big character shift, as well as a revelation that shakes one of the characters up.

Agents of SHIELD: Missing Pieces

After some uncertainty about their future, and a really long hiatus, the Agents of SHIELD are back for a sixth season. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has changed a lot while they’ve been away, and the tv shows have drifted further away from the movies.

Cloak and Dagger: Vikingtown Sound

Things are taking a turn for the metaphysical on Cloak and Dagger. With the reveal last episode that not only is Andre not the good guy he seemed to be, but he has powers, also tied to the infamous Roxxon rig explosion, we finally see who our big bad is for the season

iZombie: Dead Lift

There many conflicting factions now on iZombie. Fillmore-Graves is kind of on their own side, Dolly Durkins’ “Dead Enders” are rabidly anti-zombie, Liv’s network is trying to make life better for some on the outside, and the US Government wants an excuse to wipe New Seattle off the map.

Titans: Dick Grayson

The live-action Titans show gets to the end of their first season, ending on a few different cliffhangers. This is a season finale, so there will be spoilers below.
