Titans: Atonement

The ninth episode of Titans is called “Atonement.” That title really doesn’t seem to fit. Something along the lines of “Things Fall Completely Apart” might have worked better. There are a lot of puzzling choices in this episode, and I have to admit, I don’t follow some of the characters’ motivations at all.

Jessica Jones: AKA Hero Pants

Last episode ended badly for Jessica, but then, a lot of them do. On the heels of Dorothy Walker’s brutal death, Jessica was confronted by some different NYPD Detectives than the ones she’s been dealing with

Arrow: Prochnost

Arrow’s farewell tour continues, with the current and future teams still working to fit in together. You can’t do a spin through Arrow’s past without including Russia, and that’s where they’re heading this time. We visit an old friend/occasional ally, get another familiar face back, and see loyalties tested in the conflict with the Monitor.

Swamp Thing: Loose Ends

The first and final season of Swamp Thing reaches its unfortunate end. Not only was the show cancelled before it even finished the season, but the 13 episodes were cut down to 10. I’m still hoping they find a way to bring this back at some point, but it’s not sounding great.

Flash: License to Elongate

Season six of The Flash is mostly about getting ready for the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Barry has more or less accepted the fact of his own death, and is trying to prepare the team for his not being around anymore.

Watchmen: Little Fear of Lightning

Wade Tillman, the masked cop Looking Glass, is one of the most interesting. I admit to some bias, as he’s apparently loosely based on the Question/Rorschach, the Question being a favorite of mine, and his southern delivery with a keen mind behind it reminds me a lot of Eugene from The Walking Dead, another show I very much enjoy.

Titans: Jericho

“Jericho” might be the most uneven episode of Titans so far. There were some brilliant scenes, and some things that made no sense. We get to see the end of the tragedy that broke the Titans, but we knew at least the broad strokes of this already. There was an amazing fight scene, and one I don’t think they did really well on.
