DC’s Legends of Tomorrow return for the fourth season, and without the voiceover that never really worked for me, in “The Virgin Gary.”
It’s a great time to be a fan of superheroes, with all the movies and tv shows going. And one of the things that kicked that wave off was the CW’s Arrow, which has spawned several spin-off shows now.
The Girl of Steel returns, bringing along several new characters, as Supergirl’s 4th season starts off with “American Alien.”
Black Lightning really impressed me with its first season. Now they’re back, and they’ve returned with both the quality and the really long titles.
After what seemed like a longer break than usual, The Gifted are back, kicking off their season with “eMergence.”
Luke Cage is back for his second season, and the “Hero of Harlem” has problems coming for him. “Soul Brother #1” is the first episode of the season, and it starts the set up after a helpful recap of first season.
After a long break, the psychedelic super-powered show Legion is back. Last season ended with David being drone-napped, and we find out some of what’s been happening while he’s been gone.
Last season of Agents of SHIELD ended with the team expecting to be arrested after they did what they needed to do to resolve the crises from last time around, wrapping up the issues of the Framework, Aida, and Ghost Rider. The last we saw of them was the agents going to a diner to enjoy a last meal in freedom before the proverbial hammer came down on them.
The other CW-DC Comics shows all had a 6 month gap between their seasons. Arrow, always having to be a bit different, went for 5 instead. “Fallout” is an appropriate name, as they very slowly tease us with who survived the blast on Lian Yu and who didn’t. I was hoping that, since they blew…
