Wild Cards #2

The Wild Cards series is one of my favorites. It’s an interesting take on superhumans, and, as long as it’s been running now, there’s been a lot of world building.

Sandman: 24/7

Otherwise known as “The Diner story” when it’s talked about, the episode is titled “24/7.” This is the most disturbing episode so far, and if memory serves, the worst we’re likely to see this season. This is going to be a very short review, because this is mostly high drama and I try to avoid spoilers.

Harley Quinn: A Thief, A Mole, An Orgy

Things get messy and yet another dangerous Bat-foe becomes a joke in “A Thief, A Mole, An Orgy.”

She-Hulk: Superhuman Law

Jennifer Walters now enters the exciting world of “Superhuman Law.”

Sandman: A Hope in Hell

One of my favorite issues throughout the several years long run was early on, when Morpheus went to hell to reclaim what was his. That, somewhat adapted, is what we see in “A Hope in Hell.”

Doom Patrol: 1917 Patrol

Rita’s trip back to the past comes with in-flight narration, and a really interesting take on how the amnesia that Laura suffered from comes about.

Harley Quinn: The 83rd Annual Villy Awards

The ongoing insanity that is the Harley Quinn series continues on HBOMax (at least, they haven’t cancelled in mid-run yet. Anything’s possible over there at this point).

Sandman: Dream A Little Dream of Me

The quest for Morpheus’ items continues in “Dream A Little Dream of Me.” Personally, I kept expecting to hear that song, but I don’t believe we ever did.

She-Hulk: A Normal Amount of Rage

Now we get a look at another character’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as She-Hulk premiers with “A Normal Amount of Rage.”

Doom Patrol: Dada Patrol

Caulder seems to actually be gone, although I wouldn’t bet against his return from the dead. Now, with their new mystery guest, the team has a new threat to handle in their own, bizarre way, in “Dada Patrol.”
