Legends of Tomorrow: Speakeasy Does It

The newest season of Legends of Tomorrow has the team marooned in 1925, with no ship, no time couriers, and the thinnest of ideas about how to find a way back to their own time. Or times, really, since they’re from at least two different eras.

Supergirl: Truth or Consequences

The final season of Supergirl has been uneven, and that might be kind. There have been some truly abysmal episodes, and a few decent, but not great ones. We’re back to the “decent” side of things, which is at least better than horrible.

Stargirl: Summer School Chapter Thirteen

The first season was a girl trying to become a hero. The second has been about a pervasive, brooding evil, at times more like a horror movie than a superhero action series. Now, Stargirl and her allies band together to try and end the malevolence of Eclipso as the Summer School series comes to an end with “Chapter 13.”

Beebo Saves Christmas

In their third season, the Legends introduced an audioanimatronic toy called Beebo. Beebo became a running joke, and has now appeared on all the Arrowverse shows except the two newest, Batwoman and Superman and Lois.

Hawkeye: So This Is Christmas

Hawkeye has been compared both to Die Hard (action/comedy at Christmas) and the more street-level feel of the Netflix/Defenders series, and I can see both points there. Far too soon, we’re at the season finale, in “So This Is Christmas.”

Batwoman: Loose Tooth

The theme of the third season of Batwoman seems to be the trophies from former Batman foes giving rise to new villains. They did Mad Hatter well, but I was puzzled by the title of “Loose Tooth.” The only Bat-foe I could think of that might work for was Killer Croc, and I couldn’t see how that would give rise to a new version. They actually handled it pretty well.
