Naomi: Enigma

Naomi is an interesting new series, but they are starting to drag out a few things bit too much. Our titular hero has some weird kind of aura or something along those lines that makes everyone like her and want to please her, and, while she has powers, that one seems to be ignored.

Young Justice: Another Freak

After a lot of setup, we get a tragic origin of an important character in the DC Universe, especially in the ranks of the younger ones. There’s also a first day of school, the introduction of a minor Bat-character, a much-needed attitude adjustment, and a few deep cuts for trivial side characters.

Stargirl: Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite

It’s hard not to have tragedy when you open the series with an entire team of legendary heroes being slaughtered. But now, a new hero has risen, and Stargirl is continuing her ill-advised attempt to reform the Justice Society of America.

Stargirl: Wildcat

Last episode, Icicle, was amazing, hitting a great mix of comedy, action, tragedy, and introducing a villain who is actually menacing. Sadly, I think they hit a bump in the road with “Wildcat,” the next episode.

Watchmen: Little Fear of Lightning

Wade Tillman, the masked cop Looking Glass, is one of the most interesting. I admit to some bias, as he’s apparently loosely based on the Question/Rorschach, the Question being a favorite of mine, and his southern delivery with a keen mind behind it reminds me a lot of Eugene from The Walking Dead, another show I very much enjoy.
