Legends of Tomorrow: Bad Blood

One of the problems with Legends of Tomorrow (aside from the title no longer making any sense at all) is the size of the cast. They have too many players, and even when they cut someone (I still miss Ray), they tend to fill their slot almost immediately.

Legends of Tomorrow: This Is Gus

The Legends of Tomorrow have been going through more changes than usual lately. Between people coming and going, characters going through assorted changes, and shifting goals for the season, the status quo has been bending a lot. They do more of that, but also go to great lengths to undo at least one change in “This is Gus.”

DC Comics screws over Legends of Tomorrow and its fans with inane decisions

All of which makes one of the most recent decisions by the head honchos at DC utterly incomprehensible. John Constantine has been a popular character in DC’s darker titles for many years. He was the lead character of a movie that had mixed reviews at best, and was also the lead of a short-lived tv show on NBC. Fan reaction to the cancellation was so strong that the character, played superbly once again by Matt Ryan, made an unexpected guest appearance on Arrow, thus becoming part of the growing Arrowverse. That one appearance met with great approval from the fans, and Constantine found his way to Legends of Tomorrow, adding some mystical muscle to the team. He’s been a great addition and provided some snark, sexual tension, and bi representation, which is unfortunately rare. Now, suddenly, because of an upcoming project from JJ Abrams on HBO Max, the show has been told they can’t use the character any longer.

Legends of Tomorrow: Bishop’s Gambit

Things are getting even stranger than usual for the Legends, and that really says something. So far this season, we’ve dealt with Captain Sara Lance being abducted by aliens, the secret origin of Big Belly Burger, an evil painting, and an animated sequence that was like a demented Disney scene, among other things.

Legends of Tomorrow: The Satanist’s Apprentice

Legends of Tomorrow is, without doubt, the strangest of the Arrowverse shows. The team has dealt with all manner of random threats, weird creatures, and bizarre situations. Now things get even stranger as we see what Astra has been up to for the past several episodes that she’s been absent from.

Legends of Tomorrow: Bay of Squids

The endearing oddness that is the Legends of Tomorrow can take damn near anything and make it into absurdist comedy. You wouldn’t think there’s a lot of laughs to be had in looking at the Cuban Missile Crisis, considering how close the world came to nuclear annihilation.

Legends of Tomorrow: The Ex-Factor

Settling in to their newest quest, the Legends of Tomorrow are trying to find time-lost aliens, keep them from causing trouble, and find leads for their missing leader, Sara Lance. They also have to deal with evolving relationships on the team, Mick’s amazingly bad attitude, even for him, and settling their newest recruit, Spooner, as part of the team.

Legends of Tomorrow: Meat: The Legends

The Legends of Tomorrow are settling in to their new status quo for the season, hunting aliens that have been scattered in time while searching for their missing leader, Sara Lance. There are some issues to be worked out with the newest recruit, Spooner, and the usual problem of balancing characters with actual powers with talented (and less talented) normals.
