The Legends have been through a lot, and their leader, Sara Lance, even more. She had a rough life before she signed on with, and eventually became the leader of, this band of time-traveling misfits.
The Encores, villains of history returned from Hell, have been pretty firmly established as the big problems for the season. It’s hard to deal with immortal bad guys, and the first two were taken out in fairly unique ways that are hard to repeat.
The Legends have a lot to deal with in, “Hell No, Dolly!” including evil spirits, a rogue teammate, secrets at the Time Bureau, and the Voodoo Queen herself.
This week’s Legends of Tomorrow goes for a classic sci fi novel for their title parody. “I, Ava” is, I suspect, a nod to Isaac Asimov’s I, Robot. We do finally learn some of the secret behind Ava Sharpe, now Director of the Time Bureau, that Rip Hunter hinted about. It comes as a surprise to everyone.
