Gotham: Trespassers
Gotham’s final season, based on No Man’s Land, continues with “Trespassers.” Gotham has become a place you’d expect to see Mad Max riding around in, or maybe Snake Plissken trying to Escape from.

Things are not getting any better for The Gifted in “meMento.” It’s an episode with a lot of key relationships and attitudes shifting, which could have a lot of effects down the road.
Luke Cage’s second, and sadly final season moves closer to completion with “The Creator.” The episode is mostly about repercussions from Mariah’s shocking act at the end the previous show, and filling in some background on the Dillard/McIver feud courtesy of Flashback Theater. While it’s a good episode, rarely for Cage, there’s a lot of talking and not a great deal of anything else.
Gotham begins its fifth and final season with an impressive opener. Borrowing titles from two different Batman stories, the season subtitle is “No Man’s Land” and the episode is “Year Zero.”
The Purifiers, an anti-mutant hate group, finally proves useful for something on The Gifted. Their extreme methods help make a temporary reunion among some of the various members of the Mutant Underground.
Episode four of the Titans is “Doom Patrol” and that pretty much says it all. It’s an odd choice to detour to an entirely different group so early in the first season of a new show.
Supergirl wraps up the annual crossover with “Elseworlds, Part 3.” Picking up pretty much where the last part left off, Barry and Oliver, now being seen as the outlaw Trigger Twins, face off against a black-suited Superman, who proves to be Dr. Deegan, the man causing all the problems for our heroes. The introductory voice over is even done by Deegan, although the phrasing sounds like it’s borrowed from Arrow’s usual lead in.
Essentially, most of the cast handle things badly in “The Book of Rebellion: Chapter Two: The Gift of the Magi.” The title doesn’t even really work, as it references a very specific short story and none of the circumstances of the show really fit it.
The mid-season finale wave keeps rolling, this time hitting the Legends of Tomorrow, or, in this case, the “Legends of To-Meow-Meow.”
The big CW Elseworlds crossover continues over on Arrow. The episodes debuts the new voiceover for the series, but it’s being done by Barry because of the body swap, which is a really nice little detail that they probably spent more than they needed to on.
