Jessica Jones 8 AKA You’re A Winner

Episode six of Jessica Jones, “AKA You’re A Winner!” starts off with another Kilgrave scene. His casual, thoughtless evil is really chilling. He uses his powers to win a high stakes poker game, and then deals with the player who gives him attitude about it in an offhand but vicious way.

Agents of SHIELD: The Inside Man

Things get complicated for the Agents of SHIELD in “The Inside Man.” Quite a bit of the show involves the creature that was exiled to Maveth, which is now inhabiting Ward. Malik isn’t sure what to make of what he got, and the creature doesn’t really seem to care what Malik thinks.

Agents of SHIELD: Bounce Back

After a long mid-season break, and the run of season two of Agent Carter, Agents of SHIELD finally returns. After the surprises at the end of the showdown with Hydra, the team has to see if they can “Bounce Back.” They scored some victories, but took some losses, but the Terrigen-mutated Inhumans don’t care as more of them manifest.

Agent Carter: Smoke and Mirrors

“Smoke and Mirrors” goes into a lot of background for our two main female characters- Peggy Carter and Whitney Frost. It was interesting to see that they grew up on different continents and took very different paths in life, but had a lot of similarities. Let’s face it, the early half of the twentieth century wasn’t a great time to be a smart, gifted, driven, and strong woman.

Agent Carter: Better Angels

Agent Carter’s trip to California continues in “Better Angels.” In the wake of the disaster at Isodyne, Dr. Wilkes has been very neatly framed. Between his being black, and the paranoia about communists, it’s not a hard sell to most. Carter, of course, doesn’t buy it. Equally of course, Sousa is about the only one willing to listen to her.

Agent Carter: A View In The Dark

The second half of the season opener for Agent Carter is “A View In The Dark.” While they solved the murder in the first episode, they ended up with a lot more unanswered questions. Chadwick and Frost are clearly up to something or other, and the weird black floating stuff they showed last time is definitely SSR territory.

Agent Carter: The Lady In The Lake

Agent Carter returns for a second season of post-World War II adventure as a fill-in while Agents of SHIELD is on break. As in the real world, now that the Nazis (and in their case, Hydra) has been defeated, the enemy is Communist Russia. Or at least, that’s the big one they’re talking about. There’s more going on behind the scenes.

Jessica Jones: AKA The Sandwich Saved Me

“AKA The Sandwich Saved Me,” is episode five of Jessica Jones. The beginning shows some of Jessica’s earlier attempts to make a living. She’s a good private investigator, but before that she was bad at a lot of things. She had an interesting approach to office work, among her other jobs. Her stint as a restaurant mascot gives the episode its title. Jessica also doesn’t do well on the bar scene. We also see a night out with her and Trish, and it goes about as badly as you’d think when someone hits on them.

Jessica Jones s1 ep 4: 99 Friends

The fourth episode of Jessica Jones is called “99 Friends.” Like all the episode titles, this one will make sense by the end of the show. Jessica starts off at the subway, a picture clenched in her hands. After finding out last episode that Kilgrave had someone spying on her, she is both kind of freaked out and trying to find out who’s doing it. The one thing she’s relieved about is that there are no pictures of Luke, so he should be safe.
