Kryptonian invulnerability is great and all, but has its limits. One of the things we see this episode is that it provides no protection at all against the dreaded family Thanksgiving stress. Even superheroes are vulnerable to holiday gatherings.
“Haunted” is an event that some fans have been looking forward to for some time. Arrow gets a special guest star from elsewhere in the DC Televison-verse. It also marks a somewhat different milestone for the Flash/Arrow world, but I’ll get to that later.
It’s a really interesting experience watching a con grow. I’ve been lucky enough to go to AwesomeConDC for all three years it’s been running so far. DC is a major city that didn’t have a con until recently (relatively), and it’s very nice to see that remedied. In three short years, AwesomeCon has grown quickly and achieved some impressive things.
After reading Batman #39 last month, I eagerly awaited this issue. In my personal comic book world, Batman is currently the one title that I am actually caught up on. My house is, figuratively speaking, filled with stacks of current runs that I have no idea when I’m going to get to. That being said, Batman has been more or less a treat for me every month, and I stayed up late (that would be 10:00PM for me) to read the conclusion of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s “Endgame” story line. Before I get into this, I must amend my statement about ‘eagerly awaiting’ the conclusion, because I cannot, in good conscience, say that I awaited the conclusion to “Endgame” as much as I had anticipated the ending of Snyder’s “Death of the Family” story line.
