Life at Doom Manor (they never have explained how the place got that name, have they?) has never been smooth, but it’s getting more and more rocky. Things get even stranger, and for this group that’s saying something, in “Nostalgia Patrol.”
One of the things I have really enjoyed about Superman and Lois is that the show centers on the family. For a character like Superman, that’s a perfect choice.
honestly, this final season of the Flash hasn’t been their best. In this episode, there are time travel shenanigans and assorted flashbacks as the STAR Labs crew faces a new and different kind of threat in “Partners in Time.”
The long tradition of having seen a horrible future and now having to prevent it continues with the team possibly least equipped to handle it in “Butt Patrol.”
The Sandman was an epic, award-winning comic series. There had never been anything like it before, and the originality was impressive on every level. It was adapted to a live action series on Netflix, and while they changed a lot (largely ties to the rest of the DC Universe), it was very well done. The first season comes to an end (sort of) with “Lost Hearts.”
The final season of Titans continues their version of the Brother Blood saga. Things are definitely different than the classic story from Wolfman and Perez, but there are some interesting twists and turns along the way.
The trailer is out for James Gunn’s Superman. It’s hard to tell a lot from a small slice, but here are my initial reactions.
Young Justice has been a great show with a very interesting take on the DC Universe. They are great at making some changes but managing to respect the original characters and concepts.
In this episode, we see a sort of mini-crossover and have a special guest star, and which one is easy enough to guess from the title “Wildest Dreams.”
With the usual amount of chaos and absurdity, the Doom Patrol returns for its fourth and final season. Last season shook up some of the status quo, and now they’re following up on that with at least a partial new direction, new leadership, and a lot more of the same craziness we’ve come to expect.
