Life at Doom Manor (they never have explained how the place got that name, have they?) has never been smooth, but it’s getting more and more rocky. Things get even stranger, and for this group that’s saying something, in “Nostalgia Patrol.”

With the usual amount of chaos and absurdity, the Doom Patrol returns for its fourth and final season. Last season shook up some of the status quo, and now they’re following up on that with at least a partial new direction, new leadership, and a lot more of the same craziness we’ve come to expect.

Doom Patrol: Amends Patrol

Starting on DC Universe, then leaping to HBO Max, but also notionally linked to the Arrowverse and the Titans, the Patrol has gone through some changes on screen and in the comics. Now, the third season of their truly unique show comes to an end with “Amends Patrol.”

Doom Patrol: Bird Patrol

. The Sisterhood of Dada is still around (have you noticed that almost everyone on this show has some version of not-quite-explained immortality?) and up to something ominous but obscure and weird.

Caulder seems to actually be gone, although I wouldn’t bet against his return from the dead. Now, with their new mystery guest, the team has a new threat to handle in their own, bizarre way, in “Dada Patrol.”

Doom Patrol: Wax Patrol

Like many shows in 2020, the Doom Patrol had to change things around a lot due to the COVID pandemic. What was supposed to be ten episodes became nine, and there was a lot of scrambling to wrap up the season.

Doom Patrol: Dad Patrol

A lot of the time, the titles of Doom Patrol are a stretch, or just don’t make a lot of sense. That’s not the case with this one. “Dad Patrol” does have a recurring theme of fatherhood, although, since it’s this crew of odd characters, none of them exactly distinguish themselves.
