Hi there everybody,  in today’s post we’re gonna talk about dear Brett Haley’s movie The Hero is worth watching or not. According to IMDB, the movie score is 6.5 out of 10 and we see that Rotten Tomatoes’ tomatometer is 77%. I wanna tell you these things because as you know these two websites are one of the most popular movie database platforms for a long time. I think it’s good to know before watching the movie what these two big guys say.

And of course now you are here, with knowing what the movie is about and who is staring, director etc. and I’m gonna give you a clean opinion about the movie that at the end of this post you’re not gonna be thinking the stream it or skip it anymore.

Worth Watching?

Look, this is a kinda question that might start a discussion between people. Which is something that I don’t want. But there are also people out there searching for good movies. Everybody is busy and nobody has time to waste. So at this point the internet matters because you can have opinions from other people and can try to make good choices.

The Hero is about an old actor who is lonely and at the end of his career. So I know movie’s genres are drama, romance and western but you shouldn’t have big expectations to see some classic american romance or western scenes. After all it’s about a man who had bad decisions in his past. There are more melancholic moments than a normal romance movie. So all that I’m trying to say is be ready to watch a slow movie.

Being a cowboy is a thing. But being a cowboy in 21th century? Well, that’s another thing. Sam Elliott is playing the leading role in this movie. And we are very similar to seeing his face in cowboy films. In my opinion his acting skills are unquestionable. And I want you to know his performance in this film is fascinating too. Watching him always gives me joy.

So, dear reader, if you love watching action and thriller movies, this one might be the wrong choice for you, you probably should skip it. But if you just want to see some good movies that will make your weekend then I don’t see any reason not to watch. And yes, it’s worth watching the movie. You are probably gonna love it and want to watch some similar movie to The Hero. Well, I’ll give you some movie names that you may want to watch after seeing The Hero.
