Everything comes to a head here, as Matt Murdock’s crusade runs headlong into Wilson Fisk’s webs and machinations. It’s the true Daredevil versus the Kingpin, with Dex the Faux-Devil running around in the background.
I thought the season premier of Supergirl was disappointing. Honestly, I disliked and/or disagreed with almost every choice they made. The second episode was a bit better, but honestly, that bar is practically subterranean.
Last episode of the Titans ended with a serious cliffhanger, Jason Todd getting captured through a combination of overconfidence and poor planning. To prolong the suspense, this episode ignores that situation entirely, being set roughly five years ago.
The pilot episode established the basics of what we needed to know about Batwoman, introducing the various characters, some back story, and at least the broad outlines of the status quo.
After a few false starts, Jessica has a bead on who stabbed her at the end of episode one. While her foe isn’t someone with powers, which is a nice change for her, he’s incredibly smart and possibly her most dangerous foe yet.
Season Five of The Flash ended on a serious downbeat, as the future was rewritten and Nora/XS was erased from the present. It was a shocking surprise, and an unexpected end to the season.
The first and only season of Swamp Thing is progressing well, and I’m getting increasingly intrigued by some of the subplots. The cast is good, the stories are making sense so far, and the effects are good.
It’s been quite a while since we saw the heroes of Freeland, and things haven’t been going well for pretty much anybody. There’s a very new and different status quo for our heroes, and the bad guys seem to be ahead on almost every front.
The Russo plotline has been getting a bit more attention the last few episodes than the mess with Amy being hunted by the Schultz family. Last episode ended with a burst of gunfire as Castle and Curtis went after Russo and his gang of dangerous vets. “My Brother’s Keeper” starts where that ended, with lead…
