Sandman: Dream of 1,000 Cats/Caliope

The Netflix adaptation of The Sandman has had a lot of surprises. One of them was that the first season ends with a bonus episode, a part of Sandman lore but having nothing at all to do with the storyline in the rest of the season. “The Dream of 1,000 Cats” and “Calliope” were both stand alone issues of the original comic run of Sandman, and their two stories make up this unique “extra feature.”

Sandman: Lost Hearts

The Sandman was an epic, award-winning comic series. There had never been anything like it before, and the originality was impressive on every level. It was adapted to a live action series on Netflix, and while they changed a lot (largely ties to the rest of the DC Universe), it was very well done. The first season comes to an end (sort of) with “Lost Hearts.”

Sandman: Collectors

As the season draws towards a close, things are getting stranger and stranger for Dream and the people in his orbit. The Lord of Dreams still has to deal with reclaiming lost items from his time in captivity, the complex problem of Rose the Dream Vortex, and some weird ripples throughout his lands.
