When Disney+ starting making shows set in the MCU, they included an animated version of What If, which featured many of the stars of the movies coming back to reprise their roles. It was so successful, it became the second Marvel series on Disney+ to get more than one season, just behind Loki. Returned for a new series of could-have-been tales, What If started off with an out of this world story.
They manage to tie up a lot of loose ends, explain many things, and even reference their Holiday Special a few times as the Guardians suit up one last time. Maybe.
I do hear a few folks going on about “superhero fatigue,” but to me, it seems like that’s either something they really want to have happen, or they have a specific agenda.
This was surprisingly fun, and I was impressed at the music. There were a lot of ways for this to go wrong, and it didn’t. I’ll give this a 4 out of 5. If they do another one, I’m along for the ride.
San Diego Comic Con, SDCC as most call it, is a hugely anticipated fan event. It’s the place where, among other things, a lot of big announcments are made. This year is no expection, and the folks at Marvel did a lot of talking about forthcoming projects. We got some character confirmations, specific release dates…
hor becomes the first MCU character to get four solo movies, and brings back some old favorites in new ways, paying homage to a few other characters along the way.
It’s really hard to review Avengers: Infinity War while meeting two criteria: 1) No Spoilers and 2) Not just typing WOW over and over again.
