Arrow: Welcome to Hong Kong

Arrow continues their eighth and final season with a goodbye tour of stories past. “Welcome to Hong Kong” is a nod to many events in season three, with more flash forwards of the now somewhat less dark future of Star City.

Jessica Jones: AKA Sorry Face

Last episode ended with a grisly discovery and a narrow escape for Jessica. Psycho-killer that he is, you have to grant Salinger is clever, and that was actually a fairly simple but effective deathtrap.

Swamp Thing: The Price You Pay

There’s a strange darkness lurking in the swamps and woods outside Marias. It’s been hinted at by Swamp Thing and Madame Xanadu, and prepared for by the enigmatic Phantom Stranger, but we know very little about it.

Punisher: The Dark Hearts of Men

Billy Russo is on the loose, building an army of criminally inclined, disaffected military veterans. The Schultz family is willing to do anything to keep their secrets and further their political reach and influence. Both of those groups are coming after Frank Castle, for different reasons. Anyone think going after Castle is a good idea?

Arrow: Starling City

It can be argued the modern era of superhero television got its start with Smallville. That show to one side, the more direct start would have to be Arrow, which spawned the CW DC Universe, which is up to five shows now and hundreds of characters.

Swamp Thing: Drive All Night

I’ve been enjoying this series for a few different reasons, from what I find to be decent writing to some interesting twists on the main characters to adding a few I never thought I’d see in live action (Blue Devil, Madame Xanadu).

Punisher: Flustercluck

It’s been a busy season for the Punisher, as Frank and company have to deal with multiple threats. It’s a rough time to be anywhere near Frank Castle, and that shows from the first scene of this episode forward.

Daredevil: A New Napkin

Everything comes to a head here, as Matt Murdock’s crusade runs headlong into Wilson Fisk’s webs and machinations. It’s the true Daredevil versus the Kingpin, with Dex the Faux-Devil running around in the background.

Jessica Jones: AKA I Wish

After a few false starts, Jessica has a bead on who stabbed her at the end of episode one. While her foe isn’t someone with powers, which is a nice change for her, he’s incredibly smart and possibly her most dangerous foe yet.
