Batwoman: Initiate Self-Destruct

There have been a lot of twists and turns in the second season of Batwoman. From a new character in the starring role to a major change in the big villain to finally seeing the Batmobile (seriously, Luke, where did you think it was?), I’d say “unexpected” is a good word for just about everything that’s happened.

Supergirl: Prom Night!

This final season of Supergirl has, to be kind, not been their best. I’ve seen a lot of odd things, inexplicable decisions, and generally questionable writing. I’m not sure exactly what it says that they put out a much better episode that had most of the cast, including their main character, either absent or in a greatly reduced role.

Young Justice: Illusion of Control

The holidays are coming as the Young Justice crew deals with assorted problems in various locations. We see domestic developments in Star City, problems with the new meta-kids in Taos, and an unexpected attack with some great misdirection.

Supergirl: Lost Souls

I have to admit, I’ve found the Supergirl series to be uneven as it’s gone on. They’ve had some great ideas, some poor execution, and a few great moments. I will be forever grateful to the show for introducing the Tyler Hoechlin version of Superman, which is the best take on the character I’ve seen in years.

Black Lightning: Things Fall Apart

After a side trip for a backdoor pilot for a potential spin-off series, Black Lightning continues with what is unfortunately the final season. Tobias Whale is pulling out all the stops in his bid for power in Freeland and his war against Jefferson Pierce.

Batwoman: Arrive Alive

Well into season two, Batwoman is starting to more actively clash with the False Face society and their leader, Black Mask. With the chaos of Safiyah out of the way for now, as far as we can tell anyway, Team Bat can focus on troubles closer to hand.
