The Flash begins season nine, which will be the end of the series and, sadly, the Arrowverse. There’s a sci-fi trope, a new villain, and several complications emerging into the lives of Team Flash.
After a somewhat rough start, trying to recover from the COVID complications in producing a show, Flash is settling in to their 7th season. It’s a bit odd not having a Wells around, although it’s been hinted that will change at some point.
I don’t know if it happens often enough to be a trope, per se, but if you have a show that involves time travel, there’s going to be a time loop episode. I’ve seen them on Dr. Who, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and the Magicians, among others.
The Arrow Farewell Tour has checked in with a lot of important places and characters as we say a long, gradual goodbye to the show that’s given us eight seasons of heroics and action. One important player we haven’t seen yet makes their return in this episode for their (probably) final bow.
