Harley Quinn: The Horse and the Sparrow

The third season of the deranged but enjoyable madness that is the animated Harley Quinn show careens to an end. Credit where it’s due, they make some changes that I expect will affect the future of the show (the series has been renewed and is targeted to debut sometime this year).

Harley Quinn: Devil’s Snare

Picking up from where last episode left off, the crew has a major battle raging. Scarecrow’s new potion has twisted an aspect of Ivy’s powers, and the resulting ugly is rampaging through Gotham’s Robinson Park.

Harley Quinn: A Seat at the Table

There’s a line from an Eagle’s song that goes “What do you do when your dream comes true and it’s not quite like you planned?” That’s pretty much where Harley finds herself now that she’s in the Legion of Doom.

Legends of Tomorrow: Aruba

Legends of Tomorrow ends its second season with a really chaotic episode that has the pleasant-sounding title of “Aruba.” Well, taking a tropical vacation is a lovely idea, but it probably wouldn’t make for a very interesting episode. What we get instead is the climactic battle between the Legends and the Legion of Doom.…

Legends of Tomorrow: Doomworld

Last time, the bad guys won in an ugly, decisive way. The Legion of Doom got the Spear of Destiny, and they used it. How bad is it? Well, Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash, is doing the opening voiceover now, which can’t be a good sign. As he says at the end, “It’s a brave…

Legends of Tomorrow: Fellowship of the Spear

The episode starts off in 1918 France. It’s an interesting choice, with the Wonder Woman movie coming up and so much of that appearing to be set in the same era. Nate, Sara, and Amaya are dressed in appropriate clothes for the time, and tracking blood with the assembled Spear of Destiny. Then, with…

Legends of Tomorrow: Moonshot

The Legends of Tomorrow are going after the last piece of the Spear of Destiny. Hank Heywood, AKA Commander Steel is guarding it, and found a great way to hide it. A big clue as to where is the title of the episode, “Moonshot.” It’s time for LEGENDS……IN……SPACE. Mick does the voiceover again, although they…

Legends of Tomorrow: Legion of Doom

I like that on the opening of Legends of Tomorrow, they’ve been moving around who does the introductory voice-over. That makes sense with a team show. What really entertained me with this one is they had Damian Darhk do it. He’s not only one of the bad guys, but actor Neal McDonough’s delivery is…

Legends of Tomorrow: Raiders of the Lost Art

Joining the other shows, the Legends of Tomorrow return from their holiday break. The show opens by jumping back to the accident that opened the season. Rip runs around a badly damaged Waverider after having time-scattered the other Legends. He clearly has a desperate idea, and he even shuts Gideon down to do it,…
