Time is a big part of Legion’s third and final season. Time’s also running out, as Chapter 23 is the halfway point. The show remains as oddly surreal as ever, and the David vs Division Three war gets more complicated.
In the comics, one of the important facts about David “Legion” Haller is that his father is the famous (or infamous) Charles Xavier, Professor X, founder of the X-Men. This episode finally addresses that, although with a few changes to the story.
After a longer than normal break, Fox’s Legion returns for its third and final season. The show remains just as surreal as it has been the last two seasons, although with a major status quo change.
Gotham continues its final season with the emergence of yet another Batman villain at least a decade too early. Which one isn’t exactly a secret, given the title is “I Am Bane.” We get an origin for the character that has nothing to do with his comics one, and a reveal of who one of the lurkers this season actually is. That, actually, makes Bane’s origin jibe fairly closely with one of the movie versions.
Gotham’s fifth and final season, “Legends of the Dark Knight,” moves closer to the end with “Pena Dura.”
The last episode, “Penguin, Our Hero,” ended with a major surprise as Gordon’s Haven, the refuge for the lost souls of Gotham, blew up.
Things keep getting worse for The Gifted as the second season continues with “teMpted.”
