What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?

Last episode featured the surprising twist of Ultron not only winning the events of Age of Ultron, but becoming aware of other worlds and then the Watcher himself. That ended with the Watcher having no choice but to act, leading to the season finale “What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?”

What If… Ultron Won?

I’ve been commenting that, by and large, the writers on the first season of Marvel’s What If…? seem to be in a competition about who can write the darkest story. While last episode, featuring the hijinks of an only child version of Thor, was a lot lighter and funnier, it ended on a bleak note that gave a hint about the next episode, “What if Ultron Won?”

Black Widow #20 review

Like all the rest of the regular Marvel titles, Black Widow is ending as the Secret Wars/Battleworld stuff happens. One of the themes in this book, which to me is reminiscent of the Widow/Loki scene in the Avengers movie, is Widow trying to “balance her ledgers.” This story goes back and forth between one of Widow’s early missions for the Russians in Cuba, and her desperately trying to save people as the world ends in the present.

No Black Widow? No Problem?

Avengers: Age of Ultron merchandise seems to be lacking full inclusion of one of their only female members, and that has caused an outcry across the internet, with some calling such actions a disturbing message to our youth… but is it really that big of a deal?
