Kill or be Killed continues to be my favorite comic since – I dunno, Peter David’s most recent run on X-Factor, Ed Brubaker’s run on Captain America… What I’m trying to say is I love it.
And once again, the newest issue doesn’t disappoint. Kill or be Killed #12 devotes an entire page to an analogous situation between Dylan (our “hero”) and Anthony Hopkins in The Edge. And I love that Brubaker has Dylan refer to Alec Baldwin as Hopkin’s “crew.” I know, mentioning that Baldwin is in the movie isn’t the point of the analogy, I just find it funny that he glosses over Baldwin. But, he did bother to mention that the movie was written by David Mamet.
I know, I’m harping on the Alec Baldwin thing. I’ll stop now.
This is just one example explaining why, as my LCS owner said, “Kill or be KIlled is the best book out there.” I wholeheartedly agree. Issue 12 is yet another example of excellent story with beautifully crafted images. This book delivers every single month and in the barren wasteland of never-ending recycled events, Kill or be Killed is the wagon you should hook your comic book soul onto.
And by that I mean buy this book! You won’t regret it.
