I’m all for animated DC movies, but Batman: Bad Blood looks like yet another in what is becoming an increasingly long line of stinkers.
I’m all for a flick about Dick Grayson’s time as Batman with Damian Wayne as Robin, but merging this with the disappearance and reappearance of Bruce Wayne as well as adding in some sort of half ass Battle for the Cowl and the Batman Incorporated storyline seems like a bit too much to cram into 72 minutes. Yeah, not just a ton of junk in one movie, but in a flick that’s barely over an hour.
Obviously, I haven’t seen the movie yet (it debuts tomorrow), and I love Neil Patrick Harris as Dick Grayson, but I just don’t see this working. For what it’s worth, Forbes gave it a good review (or at least one that sounds relatively positive), so maybe there’s more here than the trailer lets on.
