Thoughts on Daredevil Season 2 Pics & Teaser Video

Matt Murdock receives some PUNISHMENT.

Daredevil returns to Netflix for Season 2 on March 18.  After a promising start, I’m looking forward to seeing what they can deliver going forward.  Here’s a our first look.

As you’ll see in that pic above, they’re adding The Punisher to the mix, so that should be interesting.  Matt is willing to go outside the law but there’s a line he won’t cross while Frank’s only role in life is to be an habitual line crosser.  Should make for an interesting 2 sides of the same coin sorta deal.

So here’s this weird Michelangelo Sistine Chapel styled teaser that I guess plays into Matt’s Catholicism, which is obviously a big part of his character and a visual way of summarizing the first season, but it’s kinda silly and doesn’t really match the show’s tone.  Also, it doesn’t contain any new footage, so there’s nothing that exciting here.

Elektra was briefly referenced in the first season, but now, she’s actually going to show up.  I imagine this will only complicate matters as Matt has to deal with The Hand, Frank and her all at the same time.  Sounds like goooooooooooood watchin’!

Finally, here’s some actual footage.  Not a lot to go on, but enough to get me excited.  Everyone is back and new characters are in play, and best of all, they all seem to be doing what we (as comic books fans) expect them to be doing!  I think that’s what we really want out of live action adaptations – not literal translations of stories, but just seeing everyone stay true to  their character.

Daredevil has done that in spades and from the looks of things, it looks like they’re continue to do so in season 2.  Get PUMPED!
