HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Now that 2015 is upon us, let’s take a look at what Marvel has waiting in the wings… especially since DC has NOTHING to offer this year.
May 1: Avengers: Age of Ultron
This is the easiest one to get excited about, right? I think we all enjoyed the first Avengers movie and these characters have only become more interesting in the solo movies and Ultron is (for me) a fascinating villain, so my hopes are high for this one.
July 17: Ant-Man
Paul Rudd? I like Paul Rudd a lot… but I have no idea if this is gonna work or not. What will work is having Paul Rudd as the wise cracking comic relief in a future Avengers movie! Also, Yellowjacket is the bad guy in this flick? Crazy!
August 7: Fantastic Four (Fox)
Sigh. I think another thing everyone can agree on is ‘Fox’ and ‘superhero movie’ don’t always go together like peanut butter and jelly. It’s way too early to render judgement, but it’s starting to look like Marvel/Disney can do almost no wrong and everybody else (Oh Sony, you poor devils.) can barely do anything right. After the first two Fantastic Four movies, you’ll forgive me if I want for home video on this one. (Unless the trailer is awesome… but then, Green Lantern, so… I dunno.)
